The heat didn't bother me, but my husband was waking up during the night in sweats. There was something else we considered, Sleep Better Iso-Cool 11-ounce Quilted Mattress Pad, Full, but I wanted to make sure what we bought worked, so I paid the premium price. I didn't want to hear my husband tell me that the expensive memory foam bed needed to go back!
It worked as advertised - it feels weirdly cool when you first get in the bed, but soon regulates to your body temperature. My husband no longer wakes up in sweats and the bed is now ideal for both of us.

Love Outlast products, just not the mattress pad, June 29, 2011 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: 350TC Outlast Queen Mattress Pad, White (Kitchen) I bought the Outlast sheets, comforter and Serta Outlast mattress pad and introduced them one at a time on a Tempurpedic mattress. The sheets and comforter work great and I haven't had night sweats since using them. But the mattress pad only made me warmer. I returned the Serta and got the Outlast brand which seemed higher quality, but with the same result, so I'll stick with the sheets and comforter.

First good nights sleep in ages, April 7, 2012 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: 350TC Outlast Queen Mattress Pad, White (Kitchen) Its only been one night but man did I sleep good. Due to medications I'm taking I have been having hot flashes and night sweats for months, waking every few hours, its been crazy. I got this yesterday and put it right on the bed. It felt cool when I first got in but slowly started to even the temp out. I fell right asleep and only got up once feeling a little flashy but not crazy soaked like usual. If this continues to work like last night I will upgrade it to 10 stars!!! I was going to be happy if it helped cool me down by 25% I would say this worked at 80%. My partner noticed that when I got out of bed she the sheets were actually dry, first time in ages. So give it a try I think I love this item.
