fingers burst through fabric when putting on, January 26, 2011 This review is from: Temperature Regulating Mattress Pad - Feel Cooler™ Twin Size Cooling Mattress Pad I was so excited to receive this! My new mattress has a foam pillow topper that is very hot, so I googled cool mattress pads and decided upon this. I washed it tonight according to instructions before putting it on, but when I went to put it on over my pretty common queen size pillow top mattress, my fingers completely went through the side of the mattress pad like it was that paper that hospital gowns are made of. And, I'm not a strong woman -- just your normal tugging and pulling to get a mattress pad on. Really, people? I haven't even fully put it on and it's ripped???!! TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE! I just called customer service. We'll see...

The vendor customer service was quick to replace our destroyed pad for a new one. We immediately washed the new one to verify that it was of better quality, but instead, it fell apart completely again.
I would give the product zero stars if I could. The best experience of all of this was working with the customer service rep. She was timely and helpful in resolving these issues.
Not So Cool, February 15, 2012 By This review is from: Temperature Regulating Mattress Pad - Feel Cooler™ Twin Size Cooling Mattress Pad I was very excited about purchasing this mattress cover, because our new mattress was way warmer than the old one.
When the cover arrived, it had such a strong chemical smell, we decided to wash it. The instructions said it was ok to machine wash it and dry it (on Low). So we did. One entire side of the pad immediately disintegrated in the drier! It turned into a total, sticky mess (whatever is in the "Outlast" material is some uber synthetic substance).
When I called to report this to the company, they apologized and offered to send a replacement (kudos for their responsive Customer Service people).
The replacement arrived and thankfully, it didn't smell at all. However, it also didn't work very well. We tried it for over two months, and it was about the same as sleeping on any mattress cover. The bed was still much too warm (yes, I know that sheets matter, also, but we'd already tackled that problem). Plus, the cover was so thick, it was way... Read more
