The best topper, period!!! back-pain sufferers pay attention!!!, December 3, 2011 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: All Natural Latex Non Blended EXTRA FIRM Mattress Topper 2 inch thick - QUEEN After a lot of skepticism I went ahead and gave a try to this 350 dollar topper!. I already have a 15 inch memory foam mattress but after a few months of use i started to wake up with serious back pain. Apparently my hip area sagged in the memory foam and that caused the spinal misalignment which lead to the pain in the morning. Most of my research indicated that for a back sleeper the firm mattress is the best support. I actually experimented by sleeping on the floor to confirm my conclusions and viola ----no pain! so it was clear the memory foam was not working for me and I needed a firm to extra firm mattress. In addition, I did not like the heat the memory foam generated and I woke up sweaty more often than not. I haver never liked a traditional spring mattress so a firm mattress of that kind was out of question.

My husband and I loved the feel of our old Tempur-Pedic mattress and after twenty years decided to upsize to a king. We purchased the firmest model (comparative to what we had), but it sucked in our bodies at all the wrong places and left us stiff, in pain and unable to move in the morning. We hoped it would get better with time, but no, it got worse. If you have back and hip pain or arthritis or own a similar mattress this might be your answer. We aired it out for about four hours for a light odor and covered it with a thin mattress protector pad to hold it in place under our sheet. It worked beautifully. We both slept great since day one! No pain in the morning, no limp, no stiffness, no need for Advil. Wonderful, fantastic, great product!
